Technology Digest Magazine

One of our earliest publications, Technology Digest is a trade magazine focusing on the Industrial Electronics, Semiconductor, Photonics and its related Supporting Industries. Technology Digest is published four times a year in March, June, September and December. Circulations of the magazine are through qualified readership subscription and through distribution at major electronics and semiconductor trade shows.

History

Technology Digest magazine was first launched in February 1997. The people behind TechDigest were part of a team from another publishing firm that was in charge of an earlier publication whose main focus is on technical issues and product information relating to the industrial electronics industry. As semiconductor was not a hot topic at that time, the publication basically touches on product news and articles related to electronics and industrial automation markets.

After the defunct of the earlier magazine in l995, its previous Managing Editor, Mr. Charles Yeo assembled a team in Singapore to develop an improved concept which centers on the idea of creating a technical cum business news magazine for the electronics and semiconductor industries. Due to the Singapore’s government emphasis on integrated circuits productions, this new magazine began to focus on the semiconductor industry both in Singapore, and its regional markets. With much effort from the editorial and circulation team, Technology Digest has now grown into an internationally recognized electronics and semiconductor news magazine.

Unlike most other top U.S. and European based semiconductor magazines which cover articles on production techniques and scientific news; Technology Digest main draw is its extensive range of international news, business developments, forecasts and industry indicators. In fact we believe that Technology Digest is presently the only fully dedicated semiconductor business news magazine in Asia published in the English language. The articles in the magazine provide important information as well as market intelligences on the electronics and semiconductor industry for CEO and other key decision makers.

The Objective of Technology Digest Publication

Our main objective for Technology Digest is to provide readers with fair and concise articles so that decision makers can use our information to make key business decisions. Due to the fast paced nature of the electronics and semiconductor industry, we hope to publish timely news and to provide carefully researched and calculated predictions to lead the professionals to greater industry productivities and business to higher profitability.

In view of technological advancement and shift in reading habits, our current goal is also to publish a digital version of Technology Digest to complement our print edition. The digital TechDigest will be delivered to our online subscribers by email. We plan to publish this digital format on a monthly basis to bring the latest news faster to the industry professionals.

Circulation Goals

Despite Technology Digest wide distribution at major electronics and semiconductor trade events, we are always aiming for our ultimate goal to capture a larger share of qualified and loyal readers. Our immediate plan is to increase the qualified readership subscriptions level as well as to promote the digital version to online subscribers. We also plan to constantly update our subscribers’ information due to the quick mobility of the professional in this industry.

Other Industry Coverage

In the past, Technology Digest magazine also covers subtitles such as "Industrial Automation and Machinery". However due to market shifts and industry consolidations, we had discontinued this version in the late 1990's to concentrate fully on the electronics and semiconductor version. At the moment, we are monitoring several industries and if possible will like to add some other subtitles to capitalize on its already famous Technology Digest brand name. We are confident that this new additions will be as popular as the existing title.
